WOW was this one tough! I had the hardest time picking out a favorite movie. Most of my favorite movies at the moment star Benedict Cumberbatch and I didn’t want to use a movie with him in it to challenge myself further.
But then Tron popped up last minute and saved my behind!
In this scene, Molly (Quorra), reunites John (Sam Flynn) with Sherlock (Kevin Flynn) after years of separation. One night, Kevin left to go to the office for a couple of hours, but he never came back. It was presumed that he was either dead or just didn’t want to be found, so Sam grew up fatherless with his grandparents.
Years pass, and his father’s old business partner Alan Bradley aka Tron (Greg Lestrade in this case) gets a mysterious page from Sam’s father’s old office, uninhabited for years. Sam goes to investigate and finds a machine that transports him onto the computer grid of a computer. There, he is forced to fight over CPUs and programs until Quorra comes to his rescue and reunites him (unknowingly to Sam) to his father who has been hiding from the tyranny of CLU (Moriarty in this case) and the now corrupted Tron all this time.
Everything about this scene was absolutely stunning, but I’ll get into more of why I chose this particular scene in the final part of my post in Part 2!
(I like to think this is how Season 3 would start out. HAHAHA!!!! A girl can dream can’t she?)
